10 Taiwan Universities Opening Applications in December 2025

But if you are aiming to study in Taiwan for the Fall 2026 Intake (September 2026), the real work starts now. December is a crucial month. While you are planning your year-end holidays, many top
Taiwanese universities are quietly opening their application portals.

To help you stay ahead, we’ve compiled a list of 10 Universities that are accepting applications right now or opening this month. We have prioritized the Schools that joined our recent fair because they are super welcoming to Indonesian students! 🇮🇩❤️🇹🇼

These schools participated in our Jakarta Education Fair and are excellent choices for Indonesian students looking for friendly environments and scholarship opportunities.

1. National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech / NTUT) | 國立臺北科技大學
   · Status : 🟢 OPEN NOW
   · Application Period : Dec 1, 2025 – March 31, 2026
   · Why Apply? A top favorite at our fair! Located right in the heart of Taipei (Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station), Taipei Tech is famous for its Engineering, Design, and Architecture programs.
   
2. Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) | 中原大學
   · Status : 🟢 OPEN NOW
   · Application Period : Dec 1, 2025 – Apr 15, 2026 (1st Round)
   · Why Apply? Located in Taoyuan, CYCU is a powerhouse for Science & Engineering. They offer generous scholarships and a vibrant campus life with a famous night market right next door.
   
3. Yuan Ze University (YZU) | 元智大學
   Status : 🟡 OPENING SOON
   Application Period : Dec 15, 2025 – June 1, 2026
   Why Apply? YZU is known for its English-taught programs in Management and Engineering. It has strong ties with the Far Eastern Group, offering excellent internship opportunities.
   
4. Feng Chia University (FCU) | 逢甲大學
   Status : 🟡 OPENING SOON
   Application Period : Dec 17, 2025 – Mar 4, 2026
   Why Apply? A leader in Business and Information Technology. Applying in this first round is crucial if you want to secure tuition waiver scholarships.
   
5. Ming Chuan University (MCU) | 銘傳大學
   Status : 🟢 OPEN NOW
   Application Period : Open until May 31, 2026 (Early Action recommended)
   Why Apply? MCU is famous for its International College which offers many English-taught degrees (Journalism, I.T., Travel & Tourism). They are the first U.S.-accredited university in Asia and have a huge Indonesian student community!
   

These universities didn't make it to our Jakarta fair, but they are top-ranking institutions you should definitely consider.

• National Taiwan University (NTU) : 🟢 Open Now (Until Jan 15, 2026).
  The most prestigious university in Taiwan.
  
• National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) : 🟢 Open Now (Undergrad until Jan 31, 2026).
  A hub for future scientists and engineers.
  
• National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) : 🔥 URGENT (Ends Dec 15, 2025).
  If you want to study Education or Humanities, you have only a few days left for the first round!
  
• Taipei Medical University (TMU) : 🟢 Open Now (Until Feb 12, 2026).
  A top choice for Medicine and Biotech.
  
• China Medical University (CMU) : 🟢 Open Now (Until Jan 23, 2026).
  Based in Taichung, rapidly rising in global rankings.

Since Taipei Tech (NTUT) and CYCU are already open, I recommend submitting your applications to the universities before Christmas. Why?

1. Peace of Mind : You can enjoy your holidays knowing your main applications are done.

2. Document Check : If you submit early and there’s a mistake in your file, the admission office has time to ask you to fix it. If you submit on the last day, you risk disqualification!
